Comments about Novara Express XX Women's Bike - 2010:
I have been riding my 2010 Express for about two weeks now and have been pretty happy with it. This morning, the chain split apart (?!) while coasting downhill but the bike shop at REI fixed it immediately without question. I'm a little paranoid about the chain now, especially since I've probably only put about 50 miles on the bike, but besides that, I've had no problems commuting back and forth between Capitol Hill, Belltown, Fremont, Ballard and the University District. With so many gears to choose from, it really makes hilly routes a lot easier to deal with.

Comments about Novara Express XX Women's Bike - 2010:
It is light, easy, and incredibly fast. I love the higher handlebars and still maintaining the feel of a light racing bike. Responsive shifting and braking. I have to admit, I was initially attracted to two things, the high handlebar and the color. Everyone compliments me and that is just one extra bonus on a really great bike. I did replace the seat because of my needs...other than that I think that the bike is perfect. I bought it a week ago and cannot wait to get going each day!

Comments about Novara Express XX Women's Bike - 2010:
This bicycle was selected for my wife as a reliable around-town bike which also could be versatile enough for light off-roading: The fork / rear geometry easily accepts cyclo-cross tires to allow for off-road grip while still maintaining a fairly aerodynamic road-bike design!
Although the components are in the lower middle level SRAM product range, they are solid enough that they should last through many many years of use. My wife has noticed that the ride is a little stiff compared to a steel bike, but that was expected because of the aluminum / carbon components. The fact that it is lightweight is what she rejoices in - that and the fact that she is often being complimented on how "cool" her bike is! :)
She has been riding it for a little over a month now and is still raving about how much she loves it! I will mention that she prefers to ride on very smooth trails (paved if possible) and is pretty gentle on the bike, but we do plan on picking up some nobbier cyclocross tires in hopes of doing a little more exploring off the beaten trail.
The only thing I have heard her mention about the bike that is anything less than "amazing" is the way the seat fits her -- which was to be expected because every rider has a unique body shape and riding style, making it difficult to put a generic seat on a bike that will fit everyone perfectly.
Overall, I think she would give this bike 6 stars for value, looks, and versatility!
